Crafting: Upcycled Wooden Storage Box

A little upcycling project that's been on my to-do list for months.

I bought this box from a charity shop because its storage potential was too tempting, but with no idea how I was going to give it a new lease of life. I quickly loaded it up with paints, tapes and glue, and then left it sat on my desk doing its job, but looking pretty shabby.

Last weekend I decided that it was time to give the box a makeover, and after a lot of sanding, cleaning and 3 coats of wood stain it started to look tons better.
The finishing touch for me though came with this amazing shelf liner that I bought from Tiger (where else) ages ago, again with no idea what I'd use it for but knowing that it would come in handy one day. It was pretty easy to use and I love the finished look - it's so fun!

I'm not sure I'll ever get over the awesome feeling that comes from a successful upcycling project - it's super satisfying and you never quite know how things will turn out. I've had a few crafting fails recently too, so I'm even more chuffed that this project has turned out okay :)
