The Goodreads Tag

Top three books - Waterstones, bottom two - Knowledge (an amazing shop in Brighton, check it out!)
The Stonor Eagles - an engagement present from J's dad.

I was recently tagged by Hayley at Water Painted Dreams to take part in the Goodreads tag (thanks Hayley!) and as we're now over half way through 2014 (!) I thought it would be a good time to take a look at my reads of the year so far.

What was the last book you marked as read?
• Danny the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl.

What are you currently reading?
• The Stonor Eagles by William Horwood. This copy is a first edition and was a present from J's dad; it's set in part on the Isle of Skye so is already very special! It's quite hard going but so beautifully written and really captivating.

What was the last book you marked as to read?
• The Case of the Weird Sisters by Charlotte Armstrong.

What book do you plan to read next?
• The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, and I'm also going to be working my way through the Roald Dahl collection!

Do you use the star rating system?
• Occasionally, but I agree with Hayley and wish they had half stars.

Are you doing a 2014 reading challenge?
• Yes, I've currently read 11 of my 25 book target.

Do you have a wishlist?
• Yes! I could happily just keep adding more and more to it as well.

What book do you want to buy next?
• I've just bought all the books above and have lots of books scattered on my bookshelves that still need reading so have no reason to buy any more!

Do you have any favourite quotes?
• Oh, tons. J.K Rowling provides an abundance of beautiful quotes in Harry Potter, as does Roald Dahl, Haruki Murakami and Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Have you joined any groups?
Nope! I don't think I log in enough to be involved in any.

Roald Dahl collection - birthday present from my sister <3

I can't wait to look back at this again at the end of the year, having (hopefully) completed my challenge, and feeling full to the brim with wonderful stories. If you have any recommendations of books you think I should read, please let me know :)
