it's that time of year

i always get sentimental around this time of year, and amongst many other reasons -mainly family related- is the fact that another 365 days have passed (scary right?!).

i love looking back through my diary and this blog to see what i've been up to, and how much has changed. i'm so grateful to be able to document things this way, who knows all the amazing things i'd forget otherwise!
i'm also getting excited about things to achieve next year, and whilst some goals are pretty boring (driving, yawn) i love having a blank page to fill up with new things :)

you might have noticed that my filofax has magically transformed; i was gutted when the amazing teal leather started peeling off of my original one and even more so to find out it couldn't be replaced. however, filofax sent me this pocket malden instead and even though it isn't teal, i really am loving it and it's now jam packed with all manner of to-do lists and ideas.

is anyone else using a diary to start planning for 2013? i know a lot of people only use them for 3-4 days at the start of january (!) but if you're a long term diary user, what have you been jotting down so far?

  1. I put next years inserts into my filofax (Which is a paperchase version of a filofax but whatevs) and have been putting things in it since!
I have three holidays, then the due date, then a friends wedding thus far! And in my lists section I have 'what to do before baby comes' 'what we need to buy' and another list of things to do (which at the moment is learn to batch cook and meal plan better, and make wedding album! (hopefully we can get started on that between christmas and new year as we have a couple of days off together!)

  2. I am a long term diary user but I can't touch it until January first!!! After that though, it's lists and jottings galore. I really love keeping a diary, and once the new year comes i fill it with birthdays and important dates <3 this is my diary for next year:

I've always wanted a filofax but I always end up with moleskines usually! I think they're beautiful!

  4. I need to start filling mine in. I used this years one to write down my work hours. But next year I'm planning to organise things like cleaning & blog posts & appointments. As I'm expecting my first baby in April I think planning little things will help me get them done.

I don't have a filofax, just a diary from Paperchase.
