*just to let you know, this is a pretty photo heavy post! & if you don't want to spoil any surprises about the tour then look away now :)
on saturday, my sister and i finally went to the wb harry potter studio tour. i had no idea what to expect, but i came away totally mind blown. i know i'm pretty geeky when it comes to harry potter, but even from a general film lovers point of view, the tour gave a huge insight into the amount that goes into making a film. the detail involved is incredible, and we spent hours looking at the props and costumes, reading the concepts, and basically feeling overwhelmed at how hard everyone involved must have worked.
i think for me, my favourite parts were diagon alley and the hogwarts model. they were just incredible, and the sheer scale of them both was overwhelming.
i was also really engrossed by the "graphics" cabinet, which contained all the books used in the films, newspaper copies, harry's famous hogwarts letter and the marauders map. there was even a handwritten letter from lily potter that is in the seventh book- it's not even used in the film!
i'd definitely recommend the tour as a day out, i can't wait to go again already :)
p.s. a huge thank you to my sister for the tickets, they were a brilliant christmas present <3
