diy belt to bracelet

i dug this belt out of my wardrobe the other day and remembered how much i'd loved the buckle. i bought it a few years ago when i used to shop in primark, but it broke pretty quickly. i didn't want to throw it away, but it wasn't until the other day that i thought of a way to recycle it.

this literally took a few minutes to make; a quick measure of my wrist, cutting the belt to length, and then adding new holes to fasten it with. i really love how it has turned out, and i'm so happy i managed to find another use for it!

the strap itself is still quite weak so i'm not expecting it to last forever, but my plan b for the buckle was to thread some pretty fabric through it instead which i think i'm going to end up trying anyway.

i hope everyone has a lovely easter weekend, i'm off to the isle of wight tomorrow to celebrate my birthday with family <3
